Foundation Center Proposal Writing Bootcamp - New York City

This three-day project-based immersion course focuses on the essential knowledge and skills fundraisers need to develop effective foundation proposals. Participants will become familiar with the key components of a competitive grant proposal to a foundation and learn best practices for developing a well-organized budget and a targeted list of foundation funding prospects. Participants will be encouraged to approach their proposal from the funder's perspective and to think critically about what makes a compelling pitch.

Presented by a team of experts from the Foundation Center, John Hicks, CFRE will join participants on day two to explore priority setting and proposal budgeting - two critical elements of developing a competitive application. Link here to learn more and register.

I am pleased to return as a keynote lecturer at the Rutgers Business School's Institute for Ethical Leadership presenting "Best Practices in Fund Development for Emerging Leaders."  The session will offer an overview of fund development for nonprofits with trends and best practices as well as case studies about how great nonprofit were able to develop successful fund raising programs.
